About Hossein

Have you struggled with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, loneliness, or anger? As a psychotherapist deeply engaged with existential themes, I bring a compassionate, insightful approach to supporting clients facing these and other challenges. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Science, an MA, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy. My unique blend of academic training and therapeutic experience enables me to offer thoughtful, individualized support through both individual and couples counselling.

I tailor my approach to meet each client’s needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy, among others. With a deep respect for the therapeutic process, I prioritize building and sustaining a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients, recognizing this relationship as the cornerstone of successful therapeutic work. I see my role as a guide, helping clients navigate their journeys toward self-discovery, healing, and growth.

As a philosopher with a keen interest in Stoicism -the foundation of CBT, DBT, and MBCT- I emphasize the powerful connections between my clients’ thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe that understanding these interconnections is vital to the therapeutic process, as it enables clients to explore new perspectives, build resilience, and cultivate a deeper sense of well-being. Through my work, I strive to empower clients to transform their challenges into opportunities for insight and personal evolution.
