about Dr. Hai
I have experience working with a variety of mental health and neurodevelopmental concerns, including anxiety, mood issues, emotion dysregulation, learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). I provide therapeutic services and complete psychological/psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents between the ages of 8-18 years old. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectic Behaviour therapy along with Client Centered approaches to create the ideal treatment program to meet the specific needs of my clients and their family. I’ve worked at hospitals, community agencies and school boards in Alberta and Ontario.
I hold a Ph.D. in School and Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Alberta. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a researcher specializing in understanding neurobiological impact of different neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD. I am also an active educator, having taught courses related to developmental psychopathology and educational assessment. In my free time, I like to play badminton and tennis and spend time with my two nieces.
